I have been so impressed with the expertise of my colleagues. I love taking professional development courses because I always learn so much from my colleagues. One of the reasons that I took this class as opposed to another professional development class is because a teaching goal I have had is to use more technology with my students. I was a bit intimidated at first, but decided that at some point you just have to dive in. I like our class book because it has kept me grounded. It has reminded me that “technology is not the project, but rather how the project gets done” (p. 101). I keep reminding myself of this. Also on page 102 of our book it gives the idea of setting up a technology playground. Some of us have an actual product we’re looking to produce, some of us are here to learn more about technology, and some of us are here for both. We are in the playground right now, which is why everyone who is at cybercamp is a cybercamper, even cybercamper Sarah. Keep on Camping, Cybercampers!

Intimidated? Nah…I can’t imagine that you could feel intimidation. Your project was incredible. Your students are so lucky!

You are right in that in order to learn and grow we must dive in. Better to risk than to stagnate, right! I often am amazed by what I don’t know, but hey, all individuals have their strong and their weak points. Use your strengths to build upon and to decrease your weak areas; that’s what learning is all about.
