Today was largely a day of maintenance for me, as I was busy getting the recording setup for the uStreams as well as making sure to save and archive the chats and videos so that I could post them here on the blog. I was very impressed with both WiP presentations today – Sue and Amy did a great job of telling us about what they are up to in a way that made us both interested listeners as well as participants in their learning. Things are good at CyberCamp. I’m grateful.
I was talking with Kent earlier today about the possibility of using a website as a content portal for students. We talked about Netvibes and Pageflakes, but I wasn’t sure which one would do what he was looking for – I’ll let him describe his idea – it’s a good one. I asked my Twitter network to send us some examples – and they came through. There’s a new page on the wiki that is a collection of the resources that they sent as well as a couple of others I’ve found. I’m using del.icio.us to keep adding to that list – so the page will grow. Please join the discussion about portal sites using the discussion tab on the top of the page.

I’m really excited about all the resources. Thanks for being a fountain, Bud!

I like Pageflakes, although I use it more as a resource than a portal page. It seems like a good platform for collecting and sharing than for actual entry into the Web (I have an iGoogle page set up for that).
I have not used Netvibes. How does it compare?
