Another interesting day — Sue and Amy did some great presentations. It is always great to see the unique levels of creativity and the wonderful projects produced by a group such as this. I’m sitting in front of the monitor — thinking of all the things to do, yet this evening, in order to satisfy my need to be prepared for tomorrow.
- Re-read the chapters 4-6 in Reinventing Project-Based Learning
- Prepare my project presentation to deliver to the world (no pressure)
- Prepare documents for a meeting after CyberCamp
- Cuddle up in an afghan, sit on the back deck watching the rain, listening to the raindrops — with a glass of wine. I may even open one of the good bottles. Join me!
Okay…scratch the first three. Time for some disconnect. Some time to reflect, think through my presentation, and just let everything melt into this pleasant, rainy evening.

What has been your impression of the book? I may use it with a study group here in Western Massachusetts, and I was hoping to get a sense of its value from you folks in Cybercamp.
Is it a valuable resource? Does it spark discussions? Does it have practical value to the classroom teacher?
I know you folks are busy, busy, busy, but if you get a moment, I would appreciate a quick review.
Thanks

We gave away copies of that book at our iConnect iLearn (un)conference last week.
I’m very curious as to how you’re liking the book…?

Kevin (aka, dogtrax) -
In response to your question…. I think this book is a great resource. My school is very into PLC (professional learning communities – DuFour) and I see a lot of that in this book.
So far I have heard book discussions that involve everything from individual classroom changes to changing the entire U.S. educational system.
I do think it is a valuable source. I do think it sparks amazing discussions. I think it is very practical.
I have so many ideas that have come from the book and discussions around the book.

Myra,
What a great way to spend your rainy afternoon – with a good glass of wine. Did it help you prepare for your presentation WIp? I’m often more creative when I give my mind and body time to relax…
Enjoy your weekend,
Joanne
