Productive day but I have dozens of questions, tekkie ones and others…

Got a wiki started, and tried to insert a calendar with no luck.  I want to use it for a unit on building bridges, a competition we did this year.  Informal, cheap materials, easy to set up, and has been a success. I can see so many digital applications to enrich the hands-on.  So many possibilities….speadsheets and graphs with data, virtual models in sketchup, etc.

I found websites that will be usedful for all levels; handy when a  differention safety net is needed; some are basic, some show bridges designed by famous architects.  I am also building a Glossary I’d like to have on the wiki.

Enough….blogging and nodding

One of the teachers at my school did a bridge building project with her classes and it was great. The students really loved the bridge destroying contest at the end of the project.
