Google Apps Education

With a few hours to read, think, and reflect on our learning yesterday, I’m ready to jump in.  Google Apps Education makes more and more sense for student (and staff) use.   I plan to document my learning here, briefly, but I do think that this process will necessitate my own blog on the deployment of Google Apps Ed, development of tutorials, and ways to to use the platform in the classroom.

I look forward to our discussions of our camp text, Reinventing Project-Based Learning, today — lots of learning and sharing going on today…

I’ll subscribe to that blog, Myra! One of the great things about web 2.0 stuff is that one person simply can not know it all. As much as I love Google and use it a lot, I know so little about the part of Google you’re learning. Please do document it.

It’s past time, Myra. Start a blog.

I use iGoogle, Reader, Calender, Docs, Delicious. Have tried out spreadsheets, presentation tool and notebook. I love Google apps. My favorite is iGoogle as it puts everything on my home page. I do so much better now with Reader as it it right there in front of my face. I also like and use some of the fun widgets as well – countdown, favorite sunsets, tiny url creator. Putting my twitter, myspace, facebook, skype, and wikispaces there through widgets also helps me to organize.

Sign me up for your Google apps blog. I’ve added many of the book widgets and technology widgets, but haven’t dedicated the time to really use or learn about them.
